The Fifa world cup popularly referred to as the " The World Cup " is an international football competition contested by the senior men of national teams .The first world cup was hosted by Uruguay in 1930 and was also won by them, the first football matches were played simultaneously on the 13th July,1930. between France and Mexico (France won 4-1) and USA and Belgium (USA won 3-0) the first person to score in a world cup is 'Lucient Laurent' of France .
The most successful team in World cup history is Brazil(won 5 times) seconded by Argentina and Germany(4 times winners) of which the latter is the current winner. The world cup changes the earths atmosphere it is a time for peace and good will,it's stage is different whosoever shines on the world cup stage shines to the world.What I don't get is that players who shine in their various leagues find it very difficult to even make an attempt here,I guess it's harder to score, more thrilling to win, and extra painful to lose. I cant wait for the next world cup come 2018 hosted by Russia am sure you cant too well am looking foward to the time an African country will drink victory from the cup my country Nigeria should " wether you like football or not you must watch final".
